SARA FARHODI TANDON
Dr. Sara Farhodi Tandon brings a broad pharmacy experience working with diverse patient populations and providers in the managed care and ambulatory settings. Over the past nine years, her clinical experience has proven to be integral in meeting today’s dynamic pharmacy environment. Her experiences also include working to perform Medication Therapy Management in nursing home and long term care facilities throughout the state of Arizona. Sara’s responsibilities have included reviewing patients’ charts, regular quarterly reviews of all medications including psychotropic drugs, and recommending pharmacotherapeutic changes as appropriate in compliance with state law. She also has been working as an auditor with the state prisons in Arizona reviewing quarterly pharmacy audits to ensure the Pharmacy Departments and Detention Center facilities are in compliance with policies and procedures that ensure the safety of inmates, and properly handle medication storage and disposal.
Dr. Tandon is currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty member at Midwestern School of Pharmacy in Glendale, Arizona. In that capacity, she primarily mentors students and participates in overseeing clinical rotations. Additionally, she is on the school’s admission team that selects prospective candidates for entrance into the pharmacy school. Sara has also volunteered with the H.O.M.E organization as a preceptor to the students who work directly with the county homeless shelter in the Phoenix area to provide free healthcare examinations and medications for its residents.
Sara completed her Doctorate in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Washington.
