PAUL SOUNEY
Paul Souney brings a 45-year record of successful senior leadership expertise in medical affairs and clinical pharmacy practice in academic medical centers and pharmaceutical development firms. He has lead teams at several top 10 pharmaceutical companies, more moderate size firms and successful startup firms. He is an established innovator and practitioner in medical communications, evidence-based analysis, pharmacovigilance, pharmacoeconomics, formulary management, pharmacotherapeutic interventions, patient-centered clinical research and customer satisfaction evaluation of Key Opinion Leaders’ relationships and performance status. Paul has successfully built and led cross-functional teams dedicated to collaborative partnership development with internal and external stakeholders to promote effective and efficient medical communications and clinical research excellence.
He has authored numerous scientific articles and research abstracts published in pharmacy and medical journals. He has served as a contributing editor to American Journal of Gastroenterology (World Literature Review), and on the editorial boards of International Pharmaceutical Abstracts and several other professional journals. Paul is an Editor of Comprehensive Pharmacy Review (CPR), CPR Practice Exams and CPR NAPLEX Preparation CD-ROM. He has been a manuscript reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed publications and has served as a consultant to the FDA, a number of patient care and research organizations and pharmaceutical companies, as well as Major League Baseball. He has lectured extensively in various aspects of pharmacotherapy and medical affairs.
Paul received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Master of Science in Hospital Pharmacy from Northeastern University College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professionals.
